When did you first begin writing? I have been writing since my teen years, but I didn’t decide to write an actual novel until 1997, after being inspired at the Essence Music Festival by Michael Baisden, Tanarive Due, Eric Jerome Dickey and Tavis Smiley. When did you finish your first book and what’s the title? I finished my first book in 1998, although it wasn’t published until 2008.   The title is “ He Loves Me He Loves Me Not !” and can be purchased on my website www.TracyLDarity.com or Amazon.com. What genre do you write in and how did you choose that genre? I write Contemporary Fiction.  I write in this genre because my focus is on true-to-life fiction that any reader can relate to, or see him or herself in.  Do you write full-time or do you have another profession? I do not write full-time, it is more of a hobby that I really enjoy.  I currently work part-time and I am a full-time student pursuing a BA in English Literature.  I hope to go

Can you please tell us a little about yourself?  My name is Angela Murray a single mother of three adult children and one grandchild. I reside in Birmingham, Alabama. My children are Brian (27), Christopher (21) and Brianna (19) – grand-daughter Ivyanna(5). I recently retired from a 27 year job with a major insurance company. I attended Virginia Union University (Richmond) in 1982 for business administration.  When did you first begin writing?  I began writing poems and short stories in the fifth grade. My mother divorced my father, joined the military and left my siblings and me with her mother. So I wrote as an expression to deal with the pain and separation. In 1993, I challenged myself after reading the novel ‘Mama’ by Terry McMillian to write a full manuscript. I was a single mother with my second child and each morning I would wake up at 3 am feed my newborn and write until 5 am for three months before I had to get ready for work and drop my two kids off at school and

When did you first begin writing? I began writing poetry when I was in elementary school. My older brother wrote awesome poetry and I found my love of writing it because of him. For some reason, I stopped writing completely and it was only after my oldest sister died from breast cancer did I pick up my pen and started writing again. It was a promise to her that I needed to fulfill. When did you finish your first book and what’s the title? My first full novel is titled Ask Me Again . I began writing it several years ago as therapy after my sister, Denise, died from breast cancer. I never thought I would get it published, but I guess God had other plans. What genre do you write in and how did you choose that genre? I write contemporary romance. A few of my short stories are in erotic anthologies. I chose contemporary romance, because I love everything to do with love and romance. I was a big Cinderella fan growing up and still am. Do you write full-time or do

What genre do you write in and how did you choose that genre? I write in the Urban (Hip Hop) fiction Genre, and honestly that genre chose me! Being a resident of the inner city for most of my life, I wanted to share our daily struggles with people from other backgrounds, cultures and walks of life. Do you write full time or do you have another profession? I DON'T write full time, but, my other professions go hand in hand with my writing. I'm also a publisher, and a salesman ... I publish my own books and I get out there into the streets to hustle, it's MY JOB to get my books inside the palms of my reader’s hands! How do
